< HereGone - code and data model

HereGone was my first attempt to turn a digital idea into a working product.

I learned Java and SQL to build an early implementation, define user flows and model the data behind the concept. In 2016, I also took part in StartCup and StartCApp.

The project is preserved here as an early technical archive, not as current production code. Its value lies in showing the scale of the idea, the structure I attempted to build and the lessons that later led me towards clearer architecture and more deliberate development.

Relational data model

The original schema connected users, content, media, groups, events and interactions across the product.

Its complexity made one lesson especially clear: a large idea needs structure not only in its data model, but also in the way the work is planned, documented and reviewed.

The original Java implementation remains available as a historical record of the project.

What I carried forward

HereGone taught me to make ideas concrete enough to test and to recognize when complexity was outgrowing the way a project was being managed.

That experience became the starting point for the more structured product, documentation and development work that followed.
